About the reviews on Heason Events / planetFear

 

Matt Heason and a team of team of dedicated reviewers have been reviewing outdoor products for around 10 years now, initially on behalf of planetFear, and now exclusively for Heason Events. The team have over 100 years experience in the outdoors and outdoor industry, and the combined qualifications to use, abuse, and impartially review the assorted kit that we receive.

Heason Events hosts reviews of products that are of specific interest to its users, from guidebooks and specialised climbing gear to GPS watches and high altitude tents. We regularly review for The North Face, Vango, Berghaus, Cordee, Rockfax, Macpac, Petzl and Black Diamond as well as dozens of other suppliers. 

Reviews are published directly to the Heason Events website (our top ten reviews each have over 1,000 views). We also include reference to them in our regular newsletters (to 7,500 recipients), Tweet each review to our 1,100+ followers, and post a messsage to our Facebook Page which generally sees by more than 400 unique visitors (from our following of over 1,100 people)*

The one stipulation that we make is that the reviewers keep all review kit as payment for carrying out the reviews.
