About the reviews on Heason Events / planetFear

 

Matt Heason and a team of team of dedicated reviewers have been reviewing outdoor products for around 10 years now, principally on behalf of planetFear, and also more recently, independently for Heason Events. The team have over 100 years experience in the outdoors and outdoor industry, and the combined qualifications to use, abuse, and impartially review the assorted kit that we receive.

PlanetFear hosts reviews of products that are of specific interest to their specialist users, from guidebooks and specialised climbing gear to GPS watches and high altitude tents. We regularly review for The North Face, Berghaus, Cordee, Rockfax, Macpac, Petzl and Black Diamond as well as dozens of other suppliers. More mainstream products may not be reviewed on behalf of planetFear, but for Heason Events. 

Reviews, whether they are on single items or large scale comparative features, are published directly to the Heason Events website. planetFear reviews will not be posted on Heason Events in their entirety to encourage users to visit planetFear to read the whole review. Non-planetFear reviews will be posted in their entirety. There are currently over 800 reviews on planetFear and over 200 on Heason Events

The one stipulation that we make is that the reviewers keep all review kit as payment for carrying out the reviews.
