SIA warmly welcomes Jim as he looks back on a long career of photographing artists, writers, musicians, movie stars. Jim has recently completed an epic 20 year project to document rock stars of a very different type: the climbers who forged the history of climbing and mountaineering from the 1920s to the 1970s. This started out as a personal project and has evolved into an award winning book that stands as a record of the history of a golden era.
