Prana Continuum Trousers

16th Mar 2016

I’ve not owned a pair of specifically-bouldering trousers for a few years. The Continuum are a comfortable and stylish pair of trousers with some nice micro features. Made from organic cotton (98%) they tick the environment box too. I’ve worn them bouldering, walking and climbing and found them to work equally well at all three. I love the integrated belt system which allows you to cinch things up nice and tightly before setting off on a problem. There’s also an elasticated draw-cord at the end of each leg to allow you to pull the ankles in tightly if you need to. On the elastic theme there’s a tiny loop half way down the outside of the right thigh for keeping a toothbrush handy (if you’re reading this and don’t climb / boulder then the brush is used for cleaning / drying holds!). There’s a zipped pocket on the back so you can keep your keys safe (personally i’d have preferred to see this zipped pocket on the side so you don’t sit on whatever is in it). The two main pockets on the front, whilst comfortable on the skin, are made from a kind of mesh which I find catches more easily than standard materials. They are baggy enough to allow freedom of movement when climbing, without being overly spacious. Am off to Font for a week very soon and look forward to wearing these every day! They retail at £49 which strikes me as a reasonable price for a functional pair of organic trousers.
