About Sam

Sam is 28 years old and lives in sheffield. He has been climbing for 14 years.

Sam's passion for grit is well known, but he also loves and enjoys virtually every aspect of climbing, from big walling to trad climbing, soloing, sport climbing and bouldering. He has climbed in Peru, USA, Canada, Europe, Asia, Australia. This rich mix of styles and locations has enabled him to keep his energy levels topped up and his psyche sky high! He has climbed new routes at home up to E9 and abroad up to E7. He has sport climbed up to F8b and bouldered font 8A.

The Show

Sam's travels to remote climbing areas mean as much to him as the climbing itself and his main focus in his shows is to motivate people to go climbing and have awesome adventures using some of the experiences he has had. His show features 6 minutes of stunning images of Australia set to music, followed by an illustrated talk on his wild adventures in Kyrgyzstan, dodging corrupt policemen and climbing big granite walls. It also includes reference to his hard grit exploits, and some truly exciting video footage of Appointment with Death, grit E9 6c.
