Every autumn, Kendal, on the edge of the Lake District, hosts one of the most prestigious Mountain Film Festivals in the world. There is a massive programme - unequalled in Britain. The Broadway Cinema in Nottingham is to show a selection of the very best films from the 2007 festival held in November.

The Kendal Mountain Film Festival took place over the weekend of November 17th and 18th, with the awards given on the Sunday night. We've chosen a selection of the best films from this year's festival for you as follows:

• Gasherbrum II – The Fastest Summit (30 mins) - Mountaineering Special Mention
• Oil & Water Project (35 mins) - Special Jury Award & Special Mention for Adventure
