Once
again Heason Events has arranged an exciting line up of multimedia
evenings to liven up the dark Sheffield winter evenings. Unless
otherwise stated each event will feature a short audio visual
presentation or video, a 20 minute support lecture, a one
hour live performance by a very well known climber or mountaineer
and a raffle during the half time break. There is a bar.
Disclaimer:
Please take note that lectures at the Lescar are often very
busy. As there is limited seating please arrive early or be
prepared to stand at the back or sit on the floor at the front.
John Beatty described the series as 'Grass Roots Stuff', and
that's what it is. These are lectures by climbers
for climbers. If you aren't prepared to be cosy then
you may be disappointed.

Klem
Loskot - Emotional Landscapes (1-1.25hrs)
In
2000 Climbing Magazine declared Klem "the world¹s
best Boulderer / Sport Climber". His talk, Emotional
Landscapes combines the most difficult rocks in the
world, remote deserts, the Australian wilderness, the beauty
of tropical islands where granite boulders meet the ocean,
Vietnamese and Mediterranean sea cliffs, the snow-capped
Alps and beaches where waves peel perfectly into sand bays.
Sit back and enjoy...
