20 years Andy Cave has been exploring remote mountain ranges
of the world, establishing desperate new routes. Andy was
recently voted one of the top three all round climbers in
Britain. He is an experienced public speaker and has a PhD
in linguistics.
Learning to Breathe his recently published book - which
won The Boardman Tasker Prize and the Banff Adventure Travel
Writing Award 2005 - charts his life from Yorkshire coal
miner to Himalayan explorer. Using stunning images Andy’s
lecture is dramatic and inspiring.
