The British Regional Youth Competitions Series (BRYCS) is a fun event organised by the British Mountaineering Council, Mountaineering Council of Scotland, and hosting walls, for young climbers aged between 7 and 15 inclusive
- Climbers get a chance to attempt boulder problems as well as routes.
- Three age groups ensure that everyone has a chance to climb with people of the same age and experience.
- The age groups are 7-9, 10-12 and 13-15 years for boys and girls with the eldest age group leading their routes.
- Entry to the National Final is free and the best climbers in each region qualify.
- All three results count when deciding who qualifies for the National Final.
- Climbers may enter
individual rounds if they choose.
